A quiet interior cabin makes for calm driving, easy conversation, and peaceful time to yourself. Chevrolet understands the importance of building cars you want to spend your time in. Their commitment was validated when Consumer Reports named the 2020 Chevy Equinox as one of the 5 Quietest Compact SUVs.
The 2020 Chevy Equinox is a compact crossover SUV which you should look for if you want to keep outside noises out. Upon naming the Equinox as one of 5 Quietest Compact SUVs, Consumer Reports said the vehicle has a “subdued engine hum, and there’s little road and wind noise. We found that the ride absorbed bumps and pavement imperfections quite well.”
The 2020 Equinox is equipped with Active Noise Cancellation technology, which works to block out engine noise and sounds from the road so you can pay full attention to conversation, music, and the road ahead.
Comfort For Everyone
A quiet and peaceful cabin doesn’t mean much if its passengers aren’t comfortable. Consumer Reports also described the 2020 Equinox as “one of the roomiest compact SUVs available.” The Equinox seats five and an eight-way power driver seat offers configurable support while heated driver and front passenger seats keep you warm in the quiet Chevy SUV.
Experience the noise-muting ride quality of the 2020 Equinox when you take one for a whirl here at Lannan Chevrolet of Woburn.
Top Safety Pick Criteria: In order to be named a Top Safety Pick, the vehicle in question is thoroughly tested to ensure it is crashworthy. The Equinox rated well when assessed by the organization’s roof strength, head restraint, and overlap tests.
Crash Prevention: The 2020 Chevrolet Equinox comes standard with crash prevention features intended to mitigate or avoid altogether the effects of a crash with another vehicle. The IIHS tested the Equinox’s crash prevention feature and found that the SUV was able to completely stop a crash when traveling at 12 mph, and was able to slow the vehicle from 25 to 3 mph at a higher-speed test. The Equinox’s pedestrian crash avoidance feature also received high marks, though it did not contribute to the award.
High Beam Assist: For a vehicle to become a Top Safety Pick, it must have at least an “acceptable” ranking for its headlights. The Equinox’s standard high-beam assist feature on its HID projection headlamps helped it meet the criteria.
We commend Chevy for securing this lauded award for the 2020 Equinox. Experience the Top Safety Pick-winning Equinox for yourself when you test-drive one here at Lannan Chevrolet of Woburn. You’re bound to fall in love with this safe, eco-friendly, contemporary family-hauler.
The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray gets a hardtop option for the first time in the model’s history. Set to go on sale in the second quarter of 2020, the Stingray hardtop convertible comprises two pieces that are powered by six electric motors, letting it fully retract in just 16 seconds at speeds up to 30 mph.
The hardtop improves the Stingray’s performance and security when the top is up, thanks to its hard shell with improved aerodynamics. Chevy has designed the Stingray hardtop convertible with special springs and dampers tuned to create drag that is exactly the same as the Corvette Stingray Coupe.
Both the coupe and the hardtop convertible versions of the Stingray are equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine that puts out 495 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. This engine is mounted to an eight-speed automatic transmission with a detachable dual clutch, so drivers can enjoy both effortless gear shifting and having more control over their ride.
The new Corvette Stingray is also the first-ever Corvette with a mid-engine configuration here the engine is placed in the middle of the body underneath the rear seat, rather than at the front or back. This configuration allows for more cargo space and more even weight distribution.

Thanks to an improved battery, the 2020 Chevrolet Bolt EV can travel farther than ever on a single charge. Outpacing the 2019 model by 21 miles, the 2020 Bolt now boasts a driving range of 259 miles.
According to Chevrolet, the extra range comes from chemical changes made to the vehicle’s lithium-ion battery pack. This improved the Bolt’s range performance by 8 percent but didn’t change the size or weight of the battery assembly. The 200-horsepower electric motor is unchanged.
With these increased range numbers, the Bolt pulls just ahead of its competitors in the compact EV category. The Hyundai Kona Electric has been rated by the EPA at 258 miles per charge. The Kia Soul EV offers a 243-mile range, the Tesla Model 3 Standard Plus can travel 240 miles, and the Kia Niro EV gets 239 miles per charge.
Helping Bolt drivers get even more out of the vehicle’s boosted range, Chevrolet offers an Energy Assist feature through the myChevrolet smartphone app and Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™ . This tool tracks charging stations, helps with trip and route planning, and issues alerts with range estimates.
The 2020 Chevrolet Bolt is expected to arrive at dealerships soon, and when it does, you can stop in at Lannan Chevrolet of Woburn for a test drive.
It’s been years in the making, but the newly debuted 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray ushers in the long-awaited mid-engine Corvette. And while the new mid-engine design is certainly the hallmark of the Corvette C8 Stingray, the high-performance sports car has quite a few other tricks up its sleeve.
For starters, the 6.2-liter small-block V8 engine, which you can see through a panel in the Corvette’s rear hatch, now cranks out 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque with the Z51 Performance Package, an improvement over the outgoing ‘Vette. This engine also launches the Stingray from 0 to 60 mph in under 3 seconds and is paired with Chevy’s very first eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
On the outside, the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray boasts aggressive styling via muscular lines, low-profile headlamps, and big air intakes. The Corvette C8 Stingray is available for 2020 in 12 different head-turning colors. Inside, you will find the new Corvette Stingray packed with innovative tech, like wireless charging, a 10-speaker Bose® premium audio system, real-time traffic, and six driving modes for increased performance. True signs of the Corvette’s luxury include carbon fiber or aluminum trim options and cut-and-sewn leather surfaces.
The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will go into production later this year, and we’ll keep you posted on when it’s expected to arrive here at Lannan Chevrolet of Woburn.

The Vehicle Locate tab of the Remote Commands allows boundary warnings.
You’ll know how well or not well your Chevy is performing when you access the app’s Vehicle Management section. Curious about recalls? Need to schedule a maintenance check? Unsure how to operate some of your car’s features? All these questions and more are easily answered with the app. The app even allows you a remote update on your vehicle’s important stats, such as tire pressure, oil quality, and how much fuel you have left.
Road trip planning or just simple navigation details for day-to-day is easily accessed in the app’s Owner Resources section. The section also monitors your driving habits, and good driving behaviors could earn you money-saving rewards on your car insurance.

The weather is warming up, which means it’s time to start thinking about where you might head on your next road trip. If you’re on a budget, though, never fear — here is a look at some tips for saving money on your next road trip.
Save money on food. For many people, heading out on a road trip means hitting fast-food drive-thrus and gas stations for your grub. Rather than doing that, save money by planning ahead. Pack sandwiches in a cooler for your meals or stop by more mom-and-pop type restaurants instead of fast food places. You should also pick up snacks at the grocery store before you head out, as it will be significantly cheaper than buying the same items at a gas station.
Consider camping. Instead of booking hotels throughout the course of your road trip, considering camping instead. It’s a cost-effective way to spend the night — and it can sometimes be free if you’re driving through a national forest.
Choose the right car. If you have the option of choosing between multiple vehicles for your road trip, try and choose the one that gets the best fuel efficiency. That means you will be spending less money at the gas pump, saving you cash throughout your drive.
